We are a Canberra-based organisation which has delivered accredited/elective online and face-to-face PD to hundreds of teachers around Australia since 2015.

Our Mission

We promise teachers and schools a curriculum-aligned, practical and engaging grammar training experience, innovated and delivered by expert leaders in the fields of English grammar and education.

We believe in the power of language and literacy, as well as a caring and encouraging professional learning environment. We aim to provide opportunities for teachers to embrace grammar, and bring this knowledge and confidence into the classroom.

Our Team

Margaret McBride | Head of Grammar Programs

Margaret is our facilitator for Grammar Basics Workshop. Her accredited grammar workshops have been running for 6 years, supporting hundreds of teachers. She has over 30 years’ experience teaching English in higher education institutions, as well as providing language services to government and businesses. Margaret has strong expertise in English grammar and has been a lecturer and unit convenor for English grammar university courses. Margaret holds a BA in Linguistics (ANU), Graduate Diploma TESL (University SA), Master of Education TESOL (University SA), and is in the final year of her PhD exploring grammar and the Australian Curriculum.

Dr Navid Sabet | Head of Instructional Design

Navid has a background in instructional design in the tertiary education, non-profit, and professional development sectors. Navid also teaches English grammar at Australian universities and is passionate about helping students from diverse backgrounds develop their grammar knowledge. Navid gives lectures and conference presentations on a range of education issues, including non-formal learning and the politics of education. He also publishes academic research in the area of literacy studies. Navid holds a PhD from Monash University.

Dr Melinda Herron | Knowledge & Communications Lead

Melinda teaches English grammar, linguistics, discourse studies and intercultural communication to primary, secondary and TESOL education students at Australian universities. Melinda holds a Master of English as an International Language (Monash University) and PhD degree (University of Melbourne) focusing on classroom practices and student experiences in culturally diverse Australian schools.
